
The Sub-Saharan Africa Future Neurosurgeons Association (SAFNA) is proud to highlight the participation of several of its members in the 2026 Congress of the Society for Neuro-Oncology Sub-Saharan Africa (SNOSSA), held from 13 to 15 July 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
This major scientific event brought together leading experts in neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, neurology, and neuroscience from across Africa and beyond. The congress provided an outstanding platform for sharing knowledge, presenting innovative research, and strengthening international scientific collaborations.
During this year’s meeting, several SAFNA members presented their research, demonstrating the commitment of the next generation of African neurosurgeons to academic excellence and the advancement of neurosurgical research across the continent. Their contributions stimulated valuable scientific discussions and showcased the quality of research being conducted within their respective institutions.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the congress offered an excellent opportunity to establish new partnerships, exchange ideas with internationally recognized experts, and explore future collaborations in research, education, and innovation in neurosurgery and neuro-oncology.
